Last night was the Battle of the Bands at the Whisky A Go-Go. When Swamphammer took the stage the house was packed. "It was never a popularity contest" said Riki who had hosted the evening. "When Swamphammer took the stage right from the 1st song they blew me away. Then they pulled out an obscure Hank 3 cover and I was hooked. They were southern style hillbilly metal.  At the judge's table each of them agreed Swamphammer was the top choice. They will open the main stage at Cathouse LIve Aug 15th Irvine Meadows.
